Description

Description Description Electronics and technology have always fascinated me, since I was a child. I have always been fascinated by LED lighting devices and their use to form a wide range of colors with low energy consumption, which facilitates their use with batteries. Every day these LED devices evolve, they decrease in size, and today there are LEDs like the ws2812, which include integrated circuits in their same smd (5050) package, which makes them smaller and gives them new capabilities. they surprise a little more every day. These led devices added to a microcontroller like the arduino or some other, added to my curiosity in these devices I had the idea of designing a PCB that allows me to interconnect a total of 64 ws2811 LEDs in such a way that it allows me to make 8-bit drawings like those of old video games. 8 x 8 led matrix. So I decided to have my PCB manufactured with ALLPCB. The USELESS DESIGN CONTEST conducted by ALLPCB inspired me to follow my idea, implement it, and enter the contest. The PCB consists of 64 LEDs (ws2812, 5050) in total, and 64 ceramic smd capacitors (104, 1206). The circuit can be powered from the 5 volt output of the arduino uno and controlled from the arduino with the <Adafruit_NeoPixel.h> library. Make the PCB layout using Easy EDA. After verifying the correct operation of the circuit, doing quick tests, on a prototype board, I ordered the PCBs from ALLPCB. The quality of the printed circuit is truly amazing. After receiving the PCB, I quickly proceeded to solder the respective components. AND WORKS! The PCB looks amazing once all the LEDs are on. Especially in the dark. This competition gave me an opportunity that I have never had before. From designing a circuit for the PCB to soldering the final PCB, it was a great experience. ALLPCB has been an amazing experience for me!
