Bourns Unveils Compact NTC Thermistor Series

July 14, 2025

On June 26, 2025, Bourns, a global manufacturer of electronic components for power, protection, and sensing solutions, introduced the BTN02G and BTN04G series of surface-mount negative temperature coefficient (NTC) thermistors. These compact thermistors offer high-precision temperature sensing and compensation, addressing the thermal management needs of advanced mobile devices, home appliances, lithium battery modules, LCD displays, and other electronic equipment.

Key Features and Specifications

The BTN02G and BTN04G series thermistors exhibit a resistance that decreases as temperature increases, enabling accurate temperature measurements. They incorporate semiconductor ceramics and internal electrodes for reliable performance across a wide temperature range. The series offers resistance tolerances of ¡À3% and ¡À5% as standard, with optional ¡À1% and ¡À2% tolerances for enhanced precision. Additionally, the thermistors achieve a B-value tolerance of ¡À1%, making them suitable for demanding temperature-sensing applications.

Compliance and Availability

Both the BTN02G and BTN04G series are RoHS-compliant and halogen-free, adhering to environmental standards. They are available for purchase through Bourns' authorized distributors. For detailed product specifications, visit the Bourns website.
