Texas Instruments SN74LV240A 8-bit buffer/driver is designed to improve the performance and density of clock drivers, tri-state memory address drivers, and bus-oriented receivers and transmitters. These devices have inverting outputs and operate from 2 V to 5.5 V VCC. The SN74LV240A is configured as two 4-bit buffers/line drivers with independent output enable inputs. All ports support mixed-mode voltage operation. Typical applications include smartphones, network switches, and wearable devices.

  • Maximum propagation delay (t_pd) at 5 V: 6.5 ns
  • Typical VOLP (output ground bounce): < 0.8 V (VCC = 3.3 V, TA = 25 C)
  • Typical VOHV (output undershoot): > 2.3 V (VCC = 3.3 V, TA = 25 C)
  • Supports mixed-mode voltage operation on all ports
  • Latch-up immunity exceeds 250 mA; meets JESD 17 ESD standard
  • Ioff supports hot insertion, partial-power-down, and back-drive protection
