The MT8391 is manufactured on an advanced 6 nm process and features an octa-core CPU configuration: two Arm Cortex-A78 cores up to 2.6 GHz and six Arm Cortex-A55 cores at 2.0 GHz. The architecture is optimized for compute-intensive workloads while balancing performance and energy efficiency for embedded systems.
AI Performance
The platform integrates an 8th-generation neural processing unit (NPU) and delivers up to 10 TOPS of system-level performance. This performance level enables efficient execution of large language models and Transformer-based models for real-time inference and generative AI tasks on edge devices.
Vision and Multimedia
MT8391 includes dual image signal processors (ISPs) and supports up to a 32 MP single camera or dual 16 MP camera configurations. It also supports six MIPI FHD virtual channels. For display, MT8391 supports a single 5K@60 fps ultra-wide output or dual 2.5K@60 fps outputs, meeting high-resolution and multi-display requirements. The platform also provides advanced video codec capabilities for smooth handling of various high-definition video formats.
