Overview
The 360 8XS is a children's phone watch that supports mobile payments, IPX8 waterproofing, and a one-touch SOS function. A low-power design provides strong battery life, and the product is positioned at an affordable price point.
Teardown Process
Before disassembly, remove the strap and the SIM tray. A silicone gasket on the tray provides waterproofing.

After heating, pry open the back cover. The back is held by double-sided adhesive and clips. A shield covers the area where the battery flex cable connects to the mainboard; the shield must be removed first. A foam pad protects the BTB connector area.

The battery is attached with foam adhesive to the back cover and has waterproof labels around its perimeter. The Micro USB silicone cap is glued to the back cover.
The mainboard is secured with screws. The vibrator is soldered to the mainboard by wires. The front of the mainboard has no components in the middle, with conductive foam on both sides. The internal support includes an LDS antenna and a speaker secured with double-sided tape.

After heating, the display is removed. Conductive fabric is attached to the display, and waterproof adhesive runs around its perimeter.

Waterproofing and Charging
The watch is designed to IPX8 waterproofing. Because it uses a Micro USB port for charging, a silicone plug is used for dust and water protection at the charging interface. The SIM tray includes a waterproof gasket, and the case and screen also use waterproof adhesive. The teardown is relatively simple, with clips and screws used throughout.
The Micro USB charging port is soldered directly to the mainboard, so do not use magnetic chargers. There are no internal magnets, which reduces component usage.
Antenna and PCB Layout
The LDS antenna is integrated into the internal support. All mainboard chips are placed on one side; the side facing the display has no chips.
Main Board ICs
The main ICs on the board are as follows:
- ASR-ASR3601S - multimode 4G IoT chip
- Gigadevice - flash memory
- Unisoc - RF front-end module
- Unisoc - power amplifier
- ASR-PM813 - power management IC
- Shenzhen Zhengxin - self-capacitance touch controller
All chips in the 360 8XS are from Chinese suppliers. The design uses an ASR main SoC, and the power management is implemented with a matching ASR power management IC.
ASR Microelectronics' ASR3601 is being identified in a children's watch for the first time in this teardown. According to documentation, the ASR3601 is a high-performance, multimode, highly integrated 4G chip. It integrates an ARM Cortex-R5 core, which can run efficient communication protocols and provides resources to support various applications.

Conclusion
Although the 360 8XS teardown is straightforward, the internal design shows attention to detail. Finding a 100% Chinese-sourced chipset illustrates the current supplier choices in this product. The design balances waterproofing, serviceability, and integration in a compact form factor.
