pcb function

There is a PCB from my AC power supply. Here are the circuit elements for your reference: rectifier----capacitor----IC 7812----capacitor round 35V,470uF | | bridge | | | | | Transformer Relays Input from time relay EI35-220V | | | Output Output

Everything except the relays is just standard linear power supply. Then presumably the relays are controlled by something to supply 12V to something.

What I know is that the IC 7812 is a 12V regulator.

It could be switching line voltage as well. the 12v could power whatever sensor circuits there are to activate the relays.
