There is a circuit need a 3.5mm stereo audio jack. But the jack I am going to use has 5 pins which is not 3 pins as I think before. Is there someone can explain how it is connected somehow?

Inserting the plug disconnects the pin with the arrow on it. Then you could have speakers connected until the headphone plug is inserted.

If you want to use it as an input, you would connect pins 1,4 and 5 to ground using pins 2 and 3 as your input signals.
