A new power integrity software module available as an option in the SPECCTRAQuest design and analysis environment enables designers of high-speed pc boards to address critical power issues early in the design process. The module, the result of a three-year joint development venture with Sun Microsystems, ensures adequate power delivery and significantly reduces the radiation of common-mode electromagnetic interference. It will be available as an option to SPECCTRAQuest supported on Sun Solaris 7 and 8 in its first release. Subsequent releases will support Windows 2000, HP-UX and IBM AIX. Pricing is $22,000 for a one-year license.
