ESD Wrist Strap Constant Monitors

This might be a little far afield, but I'm not getting help from the compliance/EOS/ESD people. Currently we check our wrist straps at the beginning of the day and after each break. It's necessary, but it sure burns-up alot of time. So we want to consider constant wrist monitors. Two questions are: 1. What are your experiences with constant wrist strap monitors? 2. Constant wrist strap monitors are ridiculously expensive. No they're value priced! Does anyone have a layout/BOM to build their own monitors?
