Qualcomm Dragonwing Powers Diverse Applications
Earlier this year, Qualcomm introduced its Dragonwing product brand, offering high AI computing performance and ultra-low latency edge computing capabilities. Advantech has adopted Dragonwing technology across its product lines, including embedded modules, smart panels, and AI cameras powered by the Qualcomm Dragonwing QCS6490 processor, as well as edge AI systems and robot control systems using the Qualcomm Dragonwing IQ8 and IQ9 platforms. These platforms enable scalable, high-performance smart solutions for applications in robotics, smart manufacturing, healthcare, retail, and urban infrastructure.
Developer Tools Enhance Edge AI Innovation
To support developer innovation, Qualcomm and Advantech are collaborating to create developer-centric edge AI development and deployment tools. Combining Advantech's expertise in embedded systems with Qualcomm's platform capabilities, including Edge Impulse and Foundries.io, the partnership integrates Advantech's EdgeAI SDK. This provides no-code or low-code model training tools and extensive model resources, enabling developers to reduce time-to-market and efficiently scale edge AI applications.
