VPX361 8-channel RF transceiver

Overview

The VPX361 is an 8-channel RF transceiver submodule built on a 3U VPX bus architecture. The card uses a Xilinx Zynq UltraScale+ XCZU47DR RF SoC to perform high-speed acquisition, signal generation, and processing of eight RF channels, and supports intelligent target recognition. The processing system (PS) side supports one 72-bit DDR4 SDRAM and one 32 GByte eMMC. The programmable logic (PL) side supports one 32-bit DDR4 SDRAM and two QSPI flash devices for FPGA loading. The card provides eight GTY lanes to the VPX backplane; each GTY lane supports 25 Gbps line rate, enabling up to 200 Gbps total backplane bandwidth. Eight ADCs and eight DACs are routed to the front panel via SMP RF connectors. The RF front end is AC-coupled. Typical applications include phased-array radar, electronic warfare, and related RF systems.
